The oil acts differently, burns differently and performs in a special way formulated for the power of a diesel engine. How often for diesel oil change?
Change your diesel engine’s oil every 10,000km (or twice a year). Commonly diesel trucks are work trucks, and can face long commutes and delivery of equipment/materials. Towing increases oil consumption, anything that requires your truck to work harder will consume more oil. So if you’re using your diesel truck at an increased work load we’d suggest more frequent oil changes, probably every 3 months. But we definitely recommend calling us, getting an inspection and discussing with us your driving habits so we can suggest a recommended oil change schedule.
